		<description>You know, using an mpeg2 capture card, myth records in mpeg2, and leaves them in mpeg2. For a while when the frontend wouldn&#039;t work on my mac, I would just copy the .mpg2 and watch it on my machine. We don&#039;t do any after record transcoding though, just adjust the recording quality instead.

I&#039;m not sure about other capture cards though. I know the old crappy haupauge we used to have ended up in .nuv.
