		<description><![CDATA[I know this is an old page... what you wrote is exactly what I was thinking, and wanting to do... I didn&#039;t know freevo was forcing nolirc when it opened mplayer before I read your page.

You can remove the &quot;nolirc&quot; option in the local_config file in the latest version.  I got it working on my system.
